Ingredients:
1 Egg
3/8 cup Milk
1/3 cup Cooking Oil
2 cup Flour
3/4 cup Sugar
4 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 cup Chopped Dates
1/2 tsp Salt
1/8 cup Cocoanut
1/3 cup Nuts (if desired)
2 tsp Lemon Extract
Instructions:
Beat egg very light and add shortening, sugar, dates, cocoanut, and
flavoring. Mix well. Add milk and flour which has been sifted with
baking-powder and salt. Drop from teaspoon on greased tin. Bake in a
moderately hot oven. Time in oven, 12 minutes. Temperature, 375
degrees.
