Ingredients:
2 cup White sugar
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Cloves
1 tsp Nutmeg
2 tbsp Shortening
1 lb Seeded raisins
2 cup Cold water ------ADD-----------------
3 cup Flour
1 tsp Soda
1 each Pinch salt
1 tsp Vanilla
1 each Cherries and nuts
1 each Mixed dried peel (optional)
Instructions:
Boil and stir for 5 minutes the sugar, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg,
shortening, raisins and water. Let cool and then add the remaining
ingredients. Next pour into large well greased and floured tube pan.
Bake at 375* for 1 1/2 hours.
