Ingredients:
1 each Egg, beaten
1 cup Milk
1 tsp Shortening, melted
2 tbsp Cornmeal, heaping
1 1/2 cup Flour
2 tsp Baking powder
Instructions:
Mix the egg, milk and shortening together. Combine with the sifted dry
ingredients and mix thoroughly. Bake in greased muffin tins at 450-F
about 20 minutes. Source: Pennsylvania Dutch Cook Book - Fine Old
