  Great Grandma Macaluso's (Authentic) Sicilian Chicken Catachitori

Ingredients:
variety of chicken pieces (6-8 legs, thighs, or breasts)
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/3 cup oil
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 small onion chopped
1 can stewed tomatoes (16 oz)
1/2 tsp oregano
optional: small can of mushrooms
Instructions:
Remove skin from chicken.
Combine in a bowl flour, salt, and pepper.
Coat chicken pieces in flour and brown in hot oil. Add the rest of the ingredient and simmer for 45 minutes.

Serve over lingini or fettichini with parmasean cheese.
