Ingredients:
1 small head green cabbage, cut into 6 wedges (1 lb.)
1 Tbls. sugar
3 Tbls. white vinegar
1 Tbls. onion, finely chopped
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. celery seed
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
Instructions:
Heat 1 inch salted water (1/2 tsp. salt to 1 C. water) to boiling in a 10-inch skillet. Add cabbage. Cover and heat to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer until crisp and tender, 15 to 20 minutes. Remove to serving platter with slotted spoon. Heat remaining ingredients in boiling water in small saucepan, stirring occasionally. Pour sauce over cabbage wedges.
