Ingredients:
4 oz. baking chocolate
1/2 C. boiling water
1/2 C. butter
1/2 C. granulated sugar replacement
3 Tbls. granulated fructose
4 egg yolks
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2-1/4 C. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 C. buttermilk
4 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Instructions:
Melt chocolate in boiling water, cool. Cream next 3 ingredients until fluffy. Add yolks, one at a time, beating well. Blend in vanilla with chocolate water. Sift flour with baking soda and salt. Add alternately with buttermilk to chocolate mixture, beating each time until smooth. Fold in beaten egg whites. Grease three 9-inch pans lined with paper. Grease again and pour in batter. Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees F. Remove paper lining and cool.
